Since the early 1900s, the Classics Department at the University of Arizona has offered a full curriculum in Ancient Greek. Ancient Greek courses are offered during  the regular academic year and during the summers, as part of the Summer Intensive Greek Language Program at the University of Arizona.

 

For Fall 2013 The Classics Department offers the following courses in Ancient Greek:

GRK 203 Intermediate Modern Greek I [syllabus]: Pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary of modern Greek; development of skills in conversation, composition, and reading; emphasis on aural-oral skills. MTWTh 1-1:50 (Economou)
GRK 430 Readings in Greek Historians [syllabus]: Selections from Herodotus and Thucydides with an introduction to the critical literature. Readings in Greek and English. TTh 2-3:15 (Groves)
GRK 530 Readings in Greek Historians [syllabus]: Selections from Herodotus and Thucydides with an introduction to the critical literature. Readings in Greek and English. Graduate-level requirements include extensive readings, presentations and an in-depth paper. TTh 2-3:15 (Groves)
